Thank you! I used to have this strange idea that short books = lazy reading but the slimmer the book the more powerful the read 😆

I agree!! I think, in many ways, short books often have the most powerful writing. To be able to convey a story, with such conviction, in as little as 80 pages, takes incredibly skilled writing! I am often more impressed with shorter books, because the author has managed to do so much with such little word count! Longer books have their places, in creating much more depth of characters, but I don't find them any 'more' impressive than shorter ones!

The English Understand Wool by Helen Dewitt (69 pgs.) is a great slim read. It blew me away, which is saying a lot given that I'm typically not a fan or short fiction.

When I watch youtubers with lit degrees talk about their required reading books in school, Address Unknown seems to be always on that list. might need to pick this up soon now.
