Friends,
My reading resolution for 2024 is to no longer buy books online but support local independent bookshops near my home instead. I had a most magnificent year for reading in 2023, you can read about that here. I’m excited for all the new books I’m about to read this year!1
Here’s a few of my favourite local bookshops to get lost in:
The Bookend by Jane & Jeremy
📍 61 St George’s Road | Brighton | BN2 1EF
🌍 https://www.jane-jeremy.co.uk
❤️ teeny weeny; feels just like a bookstore in Japan; unique books and prints you won’t find in the high street
The Bookend is an independent publisher and design studio located in Kemptown, Brighton. They work with new & upcoming creatives as well as established artists to produce limited edition books with an emphasis on creating a crafted and considered object that reflects the individual artist in the parameters of the bookform. Expect to find books and magazines you’ve never heard of as well as a few well known names like apartamento and penguin.
